RRC SCR Sports Quota Recruitment 2025

Notification No: RRC/SCR/Sports Quota/01/2025 dated 04.01.2025

Total Vacancies: 61 Posts under Sports Quota for the year 2024-25 (via open advertisement) in various divisions of SCR.

Application Mode: Online. Start date: 04-01-2025. Last date to apply: 03-02-2025.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years; Maximum 25 years. For example, as on 01-01-2025, must have been born between 02.01.2000 and 01.01.2007.

Application Fee:    General / OBC: ₹ 500 (refundable/adjustable on attending trials in some cases)  SC / ST / Women / Minorities / Economically Backward: ₹ 250. 

 The vacancies are spread across the HQ unit and the Divisions of SCR (Head-Quarters Secunderabad, Secunderabad Division, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal, Nanded). For example:

HQ Secunderabad Quota: 21 posts

HQ Quota (another 10 posts)

Secunderabad Div: 5 posts

Hyderabad Div: 5 posts

Vijayawada Div: 5 posts

Guntur Div: 5 posts

Guntakal Div: 5 posts

Nanded Div: 5 posts

 Educational / Sports Norms & Selection Process

Educational Qualification:

For posts at lower level (Group D/Level-1) typically: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent.

For higher levels (Group C/Level-2/3 etc) as specified in notification: 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent for certain posts. 

Sports Achievement Norms (for recruitment via Sports Quota) as per SCR’s policy:

For Group-C: Represented country in international championships OR represented state in Junior/Senior Nationals and at least 3rd position OR represented university in All India Inter-University & at least 2nd position OR represented state in Federation Cup & 1st position. 

For Group-D: Represented state or equivalent unit in Junior/Senior National Championships OR represented university & at least 3rd OR represented district/state in Junior/Senior State Championships & at least 3rd. 

Period for reckoning sports achievements: Immediate previous two financial years from date of application/notification. 

Age and No Relaxation (for Open Advertisement Sports Quota):

Age limit 18-25 years. No relaxation in upper or lower age limit in Open

Advertisement Sports Quota. 

Selection Process:

  • Assessment of recognised sports achievements (norms)
  • Trials: Game skills / physical fitness / coach’s observations
  • Educational qualification
  • Final merit list + medical fitness & document verification.
